"Hooray"

I have just received a happy note from a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma patient. The patient had recurrent disease and was advised to undergo serial chemotherapy with stem cell transplant a highly likely intervention in the near future.

Through this blog the patient learned of radioimmunotherapy (RIT). Indeed, she received RIT several months ago.

Her message to me a few days ago: "Hooray". The PET scan is perfectly normal.

Another wonderful example of the efficacy of RIT without the need for serial cycles of chemotherapy or (tough) transplantation.
