"You should be feeling good."
I have just received a personal email from a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma patient whom I have met through this blog.
He recently saw his oncologist after having received Zevalin radioimmunotherapy a few months ago. The oncologist queried the patient, "How are you feeling?". The patient responded that he felt good.
The oncologist responded, "You should be feeling good"---because the PET scan following the Zevalin therapy showed remarkable improvement.
I love this vignette.
All of us, together, must continue to inform lymphoma patients that radioimmunotherapy is an important and efficacious treatment.
