Good news keeps rolling in

Several months ago, a blog reader wrote that she had follicular lymphoma recurrence after having received Rituxan-CHOP therapy.

The writer stated that stem cell transplantation had been recommended. The patient enquired on this blog whether radioimmunotherapy (RIT) might be a realistic option for her.

Betsy and I both communticated independently with the patient and helped facilitate appropriate oncologic consultations.

The bottom line is that she has received Bexxar radioimmunotherapy. For 4-5 days after RIT she experienced fever and chills. Now, she feels just fine and robustly confident.

She is thrilled that she did not opt for the stem cell transplantation.

So am I.
