A Story Worth Reading

Jonathan Alter, a senior editor at Newsweek, is a survivor of mantel cell lymphoma and has written a beautiful, insightful piece entitled "My Life With Cancer." It's worth reading at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17888476/site/newsweek/.

Jonathan recognizes that each of our stories is unique and yet he writes eloquently of our universal fears and feelings. He ends with a powerful message, a quote from The Shawshank Redemption: "You can get busy living or get busy dying" and then adds, "For me, it's no contest." I couldn't agree more.

a friend of mine just died from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma....I thought she was getting better, in fact they way she acted one would have thought she never had a disease! I hope there is a cure found...
